Partnership and Community Outreach

Simi Valley, March 26, 2015

On Thursday, March 26th, Jan Glasband and Josie Hirsch, co-creators/directors of the Nottingham Festival held an event at the Simi Valley Public Library, as part of our goal of giving back to the community. The event was attended by students, members of the community as well as the Ventura County Star and Simi Valley Acorn newspapers, at which the Nottingham Festival awarded $10,000 worth of brand new musical instruments to deserving young musicians. Students from from Royal High School, Simi Valley Highschool and Hillside Middle School were among the recipients. The instruments included three trumpets, two clarinets, a flute, an E-flat clarinet and an electric guitar with amplifier. The Nottingham Festival wishes congratulations to these Simi Valley music students and thanks everyone that supports The Nottingham Festival.
